You can arrange for your bank to send the council your monthly instalments direct from your bank account by completing a standing order form. You will need the following details about the council's bank account to complete it:
Bank: National Westminster Bank plc
Bank sort code: 62-13-48
Bank account number: 00000000
Payee: Canterbury City Council Head Office Collection Account
Make sure you put your Council Tax account number on the form.
If your account number starts with a 9 put 16- in front of it.
If your account number starts with a 1 put 15- in front of it.
You must arrange for the money to be sent at least seven days before your instalment date to ensure it reaches your Council Tax account on time.
