Frequently asked questions

Anyone over the age of 18 and who normally lives in the UK can join the Housing Need Register, unless any of the following apply. Persons who cannot join are those who do not have a local connection and are:

• Asylum seekers defined as ineligible by law.
  
• A student and their family.
  
• A person serving in the regular armed forces and their family.
  
• A person detained under any Act of Parliament and their family.
  

Some people who have applied as homeless to us may be able to join, even if the above applies.
