Frequently asked questions

If you have a strong connection with a rural community, and you are in housing need, you will be considered first for vacant homes in your community. This may also apply if we have a local letting policy in your community. To qualify for a strong connection, you or someone you wished to be housed with must have been:

• Living in the community through choice for the last 5 years, or
  
• You have close family living in the community for the last 5 years, or
  
• You have a special reason for needing to live in the community, for example the need to give or receive support.
