At the moment, our recycling contractor only has markets to recycle plastics with the symbols 1 and 2 but we are always looking for new outlets. If any other type of clean plastic food packaging, if not too bulky, are put in the sack it will be mixed with paper, to produce fuel pellets for power stations (fibre-fuel). Large items like garden furniture could be reused or taken to the tip if they're broken
