Description:

The aim of the Surestart Centre was to provide a family-friendly children's centre, which incorporates an 80 place day nursery, foyer/cafe, meeting rooms, office accommodation, multi-sensory room and outdoor play space. As the children's centre is used by a childcare facility and families of under 5's, the build needs to adhere to Ofsted and children's centre guidance. Accessibility is essential - both in terms of users with disabilities / special needs and in terms of how families feel using the building for the first time. The meeting rooms need to be flexible, as they are used in a variety of ways.

This project is now completed and running very successfully!
