Worthgate Toilets, Canterbury
Description:
Work has now completed on the £108,000 project to demolish and rebuild the public toilets at Worthgate Place in Canterbury.
The new block was designed by city council architectural technician, Ben Thornby, in consultation with the council's conservation team. It has the state-of-the-art ladies, gents, disabled and baby change facilities and is built in a style that is more in keeping with the area.
The work was undertaken by Brighter Homes, Folkestone, who won the contract by competitive tendering. Works were completed on 8 June 2007 and opened to the public the next day
