The Sheriff of Canterbury 2009- 2010 is Councillor Gabrielle Davis

Councillor Gabrielle Davis has been elected to the post of Sheriff and is a ward member for Reculver.

Councillor Gabrielle Davis was born in Canterbury and grew up in Herne Bay where she attended La Sainte Union Convent School.

Councillor Davis worked in journalism as a feature writer in London for many years.  She now lives in Reculver and writes the weekly Beltinge column for the Herne Bay Gazette.

Councillor Davis is passionate about animals and wildlife.  For six years she was the fund-raising officer for the Canterbury Branch of Cats Protection.  She is now a Trustee for Animals Worldwide and a founder member of the Herne Bay Improvement and Conservation Trust.
