Canterbury district parking zones
Canterbury, City Centre Zone
The City Centre zone covers all of the streets within the City Walls. There are a number of on street parking bays provided in the City Centre for residents only. Your on street parking permit enables you to park in these bays, without restrictions. Disabled drivers are subject to the usual disabled badge conditions.
In order to provide additional parking for residents in the City you may now use your on street permit in the Business User bays in Hawks Lane, St Johns Lane and Pound Lane from 7.00pm - 7.00am, Monday-Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
A resident may also purchase Daily Visitors Vouchers in advance for visitors, to enable them also to avoid time restrictions in the marked 4 hour bays. Visitors vouchers are purchased either in person or by post from the Canterbury City Council offices. However you must provide proof of your residency within the zone at the time of purchase.
