Great British Spring Clean

Between Friday 3 and Sunday 5 March we're taking part in the national Great British Spring Clean campaign.

The idea is to bring people together to help clear up litter across our cities, towns and villages.

Litter picks we know about

Saturday 4 March

  • St Dunstan's Residents' Association, 10am to 12noon. Meet at the corner of New Street and Orchard Street.
  • Oaten Hill and South Canterbury Association, 10am to 12noon. Meet at the junction of New Dover Road and St Lawrence Road.
  • Kingsmead community spring clean, 11am to 12noon. Meet at the car park on Kingsmead Field.
  • Westgate Parks community litter pick, 11am to 2pm. Meet outside the blue office block in Toddlers Cove.
  • St Stephen's litter pick, 2pm to 3pm. Meet in front of the almshouses on St Stephen's Green.

Sunday 5 March

  • Hales Place, 10am to 12,30pm. Meet at St Stephen's Community Centre in Tenterden Drive.
  • Students and SMRARA litter pick, 10.30am to 12 noon. Meet the bottom of Eliot Pathway, near Lyndhurst Close. 

If you want to get involved with your own litter pick, please complete the registration form and risk assessment and return them to our Contracts team. Please note that limited equipment is available and will be handed out on a first come, first served basis.

Serco staff will take away any rubbish and recycling collected.
