You can now sign up for a new account which will allow you to pay automatically in a number of car parks across the district.

The car parks use automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) technology so you'll only ever pay for what you use - and what's more, you'll never need to visit a payment machine again!

To help you travel safely we have made changes:

  • the number of available seats on Park and Ride buses is limited to allow social distancing
  • you must wear a face covering when using the Park and Ride buses
  • the toilets and terminal are closed
  • sanitiser is available near the pay kiosks

There are cycle parking compounds at Wincheap and Sturry Road Park and Ride sites. You don't need to register with us to use them.


  • Monday to Saturday: Buses run every eight minutes, from 7am to 6pm
  • Sunday: Every 15 minutes, from 10am to 6pm

No Park and Ride services will run on Boxing Day (Saturday 26 December).

Outside of these hours you can use Stagecoach services 6A, 8 or 8A - just show your car park ticket to the driver. Timetables can be found at the bus stop.

You can't enter the car park after 8.30pm but you can exit any time.

Maximum stay 48 hours.
