COVID-19 business support grants

Last updated: 9 April at 11:17

Grants update

Our team has been working hard to make sure the COVID-related business support grants paid for by the government have gone into business bank accounts.

Because of the amount of applications for the Additional Restrictions Grant and Additional Restrictions (Extra Support) Grant, these grants are now closed as applications have used up all of the funds given to us by the government.

Your application for these schemes might still need processing, and we will contact you directly to let you know if you have been successful.

We have been chasing some businesses for extra information for six weeks, and have not heard back from them. Those applications will now be closed and not paid.

Budget update

All of our existing funding has been given out to successful applicants. We are waiting for confirmation of further funds mentioned in the recent Budget before making any more payments.

This afternoon (Thursday 1 April) we had notification of the Additional Restrictions Grant allocation announced in the Budget in March. We will work out how that allocation will be shared between successful applicants to the scheme and contact them by email as soon as possible.

This does not apply to the Local or Tier restrictions grants or Lockdown grants mentioned further down this page.
