Speak at a council meeting
Full Council meetings
Full Council is held several times a year to decide our budget and policies. They usually also include formal ceremonies. See upcoming Full Council meetings
To request to speak, you'll need to submit a petition or question to Democratic Services, supported by at least 15 signatures.
The following applies at all Full Council meetings:
- the Lord Mayor may decide the order of speakers
- you cannot speak for more than three minutes unless you have permission from us, and
- there will be no debate on any petitions or questions put forward, unless the Chair of an appropriate committee is given permission to respond by The Lord Mayor.
