Public launch ramps

Before using a launching ramp please read our guidance for launch and recovery.

Public launching ramps for boats can be found at the following locations: 

• Neptune main ramp, Herne Bay (public), view on a map
• Neptune small ramp, Herne Bay (public), view on a map
• Studd Hill, Herne Bay (public), view on a map
• Whitstable Harbour (public), view on a map

While your boat is within 300 metres of the shoreline you must not exceed the speed limit of eight knots (10mph). This area is marked by a row of yellow buoys running along the coast.
