Rubbish and recycling
Canterbury City Council collects landfill waste in grey-lidded wheelie bins or purple refuse sacks from every household in the district on alternate weeks. To find out when your waste is due to be collected, look at your collection date calendar.
In order to reduce the amount of waste going to the Canterbury landfill site, the following collection schemes are available: Clear Sack Recycling, Garden Waste Recycling, 'Bring' Bank recycling and Household Waste Recycling Centres (The Tip!)
