Bin collections in the hot weather
From now until the end of September, our crews will be going out earlier than normal to collect your bins. Please make sure they are out by 6am on your collection day.
Find out where you can donate unwanted items or book a bulky waste collection.
Unwanted furniture and other items often end up being thrown away when most of them could have been donated and reused by someone in need.
If you can't donate or recycle them, you can get rid of unwanted items for free at your local tip.
You'll need to book a slot online before you visit.
Your waste is your responsibility. If you pay for someone to get rid of it for you, you must make sure they're a licensed waste carrier.
You can check with the Environment Agency or LoveJunk to find a licensed carrier.
We can take away large items, like white goods or furniture, for a fee.
When you buy a new fridge freezer, most companies can take the old appliance back, so it can be disposed or recycled safely and in line with environmental waste regulations.
We won't collect any commercial waste (including white goods). We also won't collect paint, chemicals, glass, asbestos or any unidentified substances in any type of container.
| Items | Price |
