Apply for work experience with us

Find out how to apply for work experience here.

If you'd like to do work experience with us, you must be:

  • a student studying or living in Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable or the surrounding villages
  • at least 15 years old when the work experience takes place

To apply for a placement, please contact our HR team with the following information:

  • your name, phone number and email address
  • which area of the council you're interested in and why
  • the dates you'd like to do the work experience
  • a current reference from a tutor or older person who is not a member of your family
