Can I get a discount or exemption on my council tax?

You might be able to get a discount on your council tax if you live alone, the property is empty, or you’re on a low income. In some cases you might not have to pay any council tax - like you’re a student or the property is owned by the Armed Forces.

Visit the council

The council offices are open daily between 10am and 2pm. You'll need to call 01227 862 000 to book to see someone during these times.
