Can I get help with my rent?

If you get housing benefit or the housing part of Universal Credit and you need help paying rent, you can easily apply online for a discretionary housing payment. You just need to give us a few details on your income and outgoings and we’ll let you know if you’ll get a payment.

Visit the council

The council offices are open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 2pm. You'll need to call 01227 862 000 to book to see someone during these times.
