From April 2026, the way you pay your garage rent will change.
A company called Secure Parking and Storage will manage your garage on our behalf. They will also be responsible for some repairs and processing applications.
They will be responsible for:
- processing and terminating garage applications
- collecting garage rent and payments
- marketing empty garages
- minor repairs and maintenance, such as lock replacements or wall cracks
Your garage licence agreement will stay with us and the terms will not change. The amount of rent you pay will also not be affected. However, there will be some changes to how you pay rent and report repairs.
How your payments will change
If you pay by Direct Debit or standing order, we will still collect your payment for March 2026.
After the payment has been taken you will need to cancel your existing Direct Debit to us with your bank and set up a new one with Secure Parking and Storage.
They will write to you with details about how to do this.
If you accidently pay your garage rent to us, you will need to request a refund.
Standing order payments
If you pay by standing order, you will need to cancel your standing order payment to us and set up a new payment with Secure Parking and Storage.
They will write to you with details about how to do this.
If you have arrears on your account
If you have any arrears on your garage rent account, these will be automatically transferred to Secure Parking and Storage, and you should make any further payments directly to them.

Any minor repairs that can't be completed before that date will be passed to Secure Parking and Storage. If you have any outstanding major repairs with us we will continue to manage this through Secure Parking and Storage.
