Register for a watercraft membership

You need to register your watercraft with us to use our slipways.

There are barriers at our ramps and you won't be able to access them without registering first.

How membership works

You'll pay a fee per watercraft, per year. Membership for this year (2024) runs from 1 April 2024 until 31 March 2025.

You can register up to five people (including yourself) to be able to use your watercraft, and they must be at least 12 years old.

Each person registered will need a colour passport size photo. The watercraft owner will also need to have insurance with minimum £3 million third party liability.

All registered members must, as a minimum, hold the following qualifications:

  • PWC users (jet ski or jet bike) - RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency (12 to 16 year olds must only use the power watercraft under the supervision of a responsible and qualified adult)
  • Powerboat users - minimum of RYA Powerboat Level 2 (minimum age 12 years old)

As part of the application you'll have to self-declare that you hold these qualifications.

We'll complete spot checks when you apply and you will need to provide these documents before we approve your membership.
