Options available if you need to view our HMO register.
Under the Housing Act 2004, We must publish and update a register of licensed HMOs in our district.
It lists the properties we have licensed that have five or more people living there. These properties have an HMO licence.
We don't publish details of properties with licences or permissions that have four or less people living there.
You have two options if you want to view the register.
You need to email private.housing@canterbury.gov.uk to arrange a time to come in to our council offices.
You cannot take photos of the register when you view it, and you will not be able to ask for a copy to take away.
When we've had your email, we'll arrange an appointment for you within four weeks.
You can ask for a copy of the register to be sent to you in either PDF or CSV format. We'll email this to you within 10 working days.
Ask to download the HMO register
You must not use the register for marketing purposes or anything similar, as the licence holders and property managers have not given their permission for the details to be used in this way.
