Anyone registered to vote can apply for a postal vote. Your postal vote will be sent to you around 10 days before each election.
If you have an existing postal vote, under the Elections Act 2022 they are valid for three years not five years.
If your postal vote is due to expire, we'll contact you by email or letter to ask you to renew it. If you get an email it will be sent from electoral.services.canterbury.city.council@notifications.service.gov.uk. Any replies to the email will show as going to electoral.services@canterbury.gov.uk.

If you do not renew it, you'll need to vote in person at future elections.
