Passport photos for personal licence applications

Your photos must be:

• passport size
• taken against a light background
• of your full face without sunglasses and uncovered unless you wear a religious head covering

Both photos must also be signed, one by you and one by someone you know who is not a relative or partner. This could be:

• a legal professional or notary
• a person of standing in the community, like a police officer or civil servant
• a person with a professional qualification

The back of the photo signed by the other person should say:

I hereby certify that this is a true likeness of (name), followed by their signature and printed name, their position or job title and the date it was signed.
