How do I sign up for garden waste collections?

You can sign up for a garden waste subscription online.

What if I cannot sign up online?

If you do not have a credit or debit card, you can call us on 01227 947 860 and we'll help you to sign up.

Can I pay by Direct Debit?

No. You need to pay by credit or debit card each year you sign up.

Will I be sent a sticker for my green bin?

No. Our crews will be using in-cab technology to see who has a subscription.

You just need to make sure your green bin has your house name or number on it. You can use a number sticker or permanent marker to do this.

How do I get a new green bin?

You must have a green bin before you sign up for a subscription. You won't be given a bin as part of the service.

What can I put in my green bin?

You can check what does and does not go in your green bin online.

When will my green bin be collected?

You can check your collection day online.

Your bins will then be collected on this day every two weeks until 20 December 2024, and then from 27 January 2025 to 21 March 2025.

What should I do if my green bin is not collected?

You must report a missed green bin to us no later than midnight the next day. So for example, if your collection is a Tuesday you must report it by midnight on Wednesday.

If you don't report it within these times, we won't come back to collect it and you'll have to wait until your next scheduled collection.

What happens if I move house?

If you move within the district you can transfer your subscription to your new address - make sure you take your green bin with you.

How do I add more green bins to my subscription?

You can easily add more green bins to your subscription - each bin you add costs £45.10.
