Sign up for garden waste collections

From 6 July 2020, there will be a charge for garden waste collections. If you would still like us to collect your green bins, you can sign up for the service now.  You must live in Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable or the surrounding villages.

If you don't want to sign up, we'll stop collecting your green bins after your last June collection.

How it works

If you don't have a green bin, or you need more than one, you must buy a bin from Serco. You won't be given a green bin as part of the service.

Once you've signed up, we'll send you a sticker to put on your bin so that we know you have paid for collections. Please put it on the top of the bin lid so that our teams can see it.

For the first year, collections will run from July to December. For each following year, they will run from March to December. We will collect your bins every two weeks on your normal recycling collection day.

How much it costs

A full 10 month subscription for one bin will cost £45. Each additional bin will cost £35.

If you sign up part way through a subscription year, you'll pay for however many months are left.
