Bin collections over Christmas and New Year
Your bin day will change over Christmas and New Year.
If you live in a council building, you can see what procedures we have in place to keep you safe.
We are responsible for making sure all our council tenants feel safe in their homes, know what to do in an emergency and who to contact if there are any problems. This includes if you live in any of our high rise buildings.
Our high rise register lists all our buildings which are seven storeys or more, or taller than 18 metres and have at least two residential units.
We currently have three buildings on our high rise register:
All our buildings, including high-rise ones, are covered under the Building Safety Act 2022 and we have a legal duty to make sure all requirements are met to keep you safe in your home. These include fire risk strategies, assessments of each building and what to do if you have any concerns.

If you have any problems with safety in your home, such as the building structure or the spread of fire, you need to report it to us so we can investigate. You need to tell us the type of problem, when it happened and if any steps have been take to resolve it.
You can also read the mandatory occurrence reporting procedure, which details who is responsible for building safety and how we will resolve any issues.
