Planning guidance and supplementary planning documents

Guidance documents on certain planning sites or issues, including design and heritage.

The documents include:

  • village design statements
  • the adopted shopfront design document - (used in planning decisions, and helps achieve high standards of design including materials, security and signage)

Following Cabinet on 18 March 2026, the Revocation Statement sets out the Supplementary Planning Documents which have been revoked as they are considered to either be out of date and no longer consistent with government legislation, policy or guidance or the relevant site has already been developed, and no longer supplement the implementation of adopted policies in the Local Plan.
